Places I saw comics where I didn't expect them:
I know, it doesn't really impact the quality of comics, but maybe these things could help remind other people that they do still make comics, and some of them are actually good?
Which just makes it even more sad to read Christopher Priest's failed attempt to get publicity for his latest book. Now, I haven't actually read The Crew (I know I am part of the problem) but the thought of seeing comics being associated with hip-hop culture and advertised in Vibe sounds good to me. More comics should have soundtracks associated with them! (I figure that Mr. Sime is already working on giving comics associated drinks, so someone should pick up the music side of things)
Good to see Marvel is suffering from disorganization with its marketing and creative departments, and making sure that those few people who like to read convenient collections of issues don't have to waste their time on series that the much more populous single-issue collector doesn't like.
UPDATE: I forgot to put in the fact that Spin actually uses their back page every month to tell a story by a musician in comic form. Not bad placement at all...
