Christmas Episode of JL Animated

I loved this episode. Anyone who knows me will know to take that comment with a shaker's worth of salt, but I'll stand by it. I know what you're thinking. How good could a half hour christmas episode of Justice League be? The answer will probably depend a lot on your point of view. I sat down in front of the tv, eggnog in hand (alright, I didn't have any eggnog, but it makes for a better story) wanting to be filled with holiday cheer. The episode started with the league helping some cuddly little aliens with an extinction level meteor or moon or something. It was rather cliche, but hey, it's christmas and they didn't have any ewoks. Anyway, from here, the story splits into three substories. The GL and Hawkgirl story was okay but nothing original. While the story about Superman bringing the martian home to the farm wasn't that original either, it had some nice moments with Clark sneaking down to the tree on christmas eve to peek at his presents and finding them all wrapped in lead. Personally, I felt the Flash story had the best conclusion with him bringing the aluminum tree to prison. For some reason, that part of the story had this odd feeling of believability to me that redeemed a lot of the rest of the episode. All in all, the episode was filled with cliches galore, but there was enough originality to make those cliches feel heartwarming.
