I kept forgetting to take pictures of things that would actually be interesting to other people, but here you go anyways:

What we did most of the time:

Coolest 4-story robot seen on the way to the convention center:

Loudest moment: The audience at the masquerade screaming after they saw the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy trailer. It was actually quite frightening.

Scariest Moment (Costume related): Wonder Woman

Most dangerous moment: Standing in the Tokyopop booth when a new box of free books is put out and a huge crowd of kids appears and tries to grab as many as quickly as possible. Don't get between kids and their free manga!

Least crowded area before noon:

Scariest Moment (outside the Con): Arriving at the "hotel" while an emergency crew was trying to fit a stretcher into the elevator.

Best Manifesto: James Kochalka's "The Cute Manifesto".

Biggest waste of time: Looking through 50% off trade paperback bins. They are worse than used CD bins for having just a few things over and over and over.

Scariest Moment (in a vehicle): Taxi to the airport hitting the car in front of us.

There were so many of these it really made me feel behind on my "pop" culture, by which I really mean "geek" culture.

Best Comic about a scientist: Suspended in Language by Ottaviani and Purvis.

Funniest Moment: Not the Droid you are looking for sketch at the Masquerade.

Scariest booth: $1/minute massage booth.

Funniest Moment (honorable mention): Two kids making out in the corner during Spike and Mike having to stop because one kid's mom is coming over on some type of motorized carrier.

Thing I should have bought but did not:

Smelliest Moment: Being in crowded, unventilated room to see an episode of Ghost in the Shell.

Funniest panel: Quickdraw, of course. Here is what it looks like when you arrive 20 minutes late:

How the mighty have fallen (part 1): Rob Liefeld sitting at a booth having to look at someone's portfolio because no one else is nearby.

Best idea: Remembering to occasionally go outside.

Booth that took most of my money: Top Shelf - Thompson, Kochalka, Brown, Kim, and Eddie Campbell? Good thing there was an ATM. Always nice to get some kind of discount from Brett Warnock, though.

Coolest Comic Creator: Eddie Campbell. Not convinced? Just talk to him. Or, better yet, just listen to him.

Best free thing I got as a result of my website: An Escapist print from Jeff Parker. Oh yeah! Sounds like his Escapist story will be interesting, too.

How the mighty have fallen (part 2): Chris Claremont waiting to sign autographs at the Marvel booth because there was no line.

Tastiest Moment: Getting outside the convention hall to eat.

Longest line I waited in: Going to see the Sky Captain panel. Well, I got 2 free shirts I won't wear out of it.

Longest line I waited in (honorable mention): The line for the masquerade. At least that didn't have an insufferable Q&A session!

Stupidest Moment: Finding out all the complete Bone editions were sold out, thus ruining my plan to not have to carry it around all day Saturday.

Most enjoyable panel with only one person: Michael Chabon.

Is it still called a panel with only one person?

Tip for next year: A cab ride from the airport to downtown is only like $12, so there is no point in taking a shuttle for $7/person if you have someone to split a cab with.
