One more time
And for a little while I thought I was getting back into the blogging habit. Oh well. One more year down, and this was quite a big year for transitions. Maybe it was a good thing to not have had more time for working on this little site! Overall, a pretty good year. I am hoping the next year is another good one, full of new adventures, succesful work, good food, good health, new friends, old friends, and lots more of my favorite girl...
And maybe a little more free time for working on web projects...

Restaurant Review: Kathleen's Art Cafe
We have already answered an important question: where should you go in Dallas for a good late-night meal? This place is the answer. We got back from our Thanksgiving adventure on a somewhat late flight and certainly didn't feel like cooking something. I remembered hearing that this place is usually open late, so we tried it. It is a very cozy atmosphere, with some interesting artwork on the walls and ceiling (all for sale, of course) and a menu full of lots of things that sounded good for a late night meal - comfy, homey foods, salads, sandwiches, soups, and some good-sounding sides. We had a tomato-based meatball soup that was hearty but not overdone, a tuna melt that came on some perfectly toasted bread, and a "wedge" salad that, yes, was a big wedge of iceberg lettuce with some decent veggies and dressing. Nothing fancy (well, maybe the tabouli side with the sandwich was out of the ordinary, but it was too mild tasting for me) but all quite decent. We got there just before several more tables sat down - apparently it is one of the places to go after the opera, too. Who knew? Definitely will be a place to check out again.
