ID

This article about Intelligent Design is nice because it actually examines the ID claims and discusses some of the surrounding issues. I do wish sometimes that more scientists recognized the importance of educating the public instead of always being worried about giving legitimacy to junk science. Don't most of the people that are pushing things like ID believe that the scientists are the ones that lack legitimacy? Of course, I am probably being too optimistic about people's willingness to consider other points of view and to make decisions based on evidence (myself included!).

Choirboy

I've been a fan of most of Lawrence Lessig's legal career, so this article about his abuse as a student at a boy's choir school was fascinating. It was interesting to see the abuse at the school explored, but the insights into how he responded to it compared to the other student, and how he thinks it may have affected who he is and what he does was very interesting.

I hope some good comes out of this case, for him and for the other students.
